Why is there no connected equipment warranty offered with our products

Surge protection products that work and can actually save your equipment should not need to offer this kind of warranty at all. Connected equipment warranties are generally more of a sales tool rather than a practical solution to power surge damage protection. All connected equipment warranties are difficult to prove or collect on from the consumers point of view. Also all such warranties are merely supplemental to your current homeowners policy. That is to say you must put a claim through your homeowners insurance policy first and the connected equipment warranty(usually capped at $25,000 to $50,000) would only cover costs above what your own homeowners policy will cover. With this in mind consumers should be skeptical about the real value of such warranties. If a surge protection product really works as advertised then there should be no need to be further "protected" by a connected equipment warranty.
